In 2013, she completed her Masters of Science in Management & Leadership from The Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. Carla started her 14 year long tenure in the Human Resources field in 2004 and primarily worked in the aerospace and medical device industries.

She attended the University of San Diego graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and a minor in Psychology in August of 2002. She was raised in Glendale and Eagle Rock and attended Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy in La Cañada Flintridge, graduating in 1998. Carla María Suárez-Capdet (née Suárez) was born in Glendale, California on April 27th, 1980, to Cesar Suárez Ibias and Rosa Gutierrez Paz.
